BNV : শৌলের পরিবার ও দায়ূদের পরিবারের মধ্যে বেশ কিছুদিন ধরে যুদ্ধ চলছিল| দায়ূদ ক্রমশঃই আরো শক্তিশালী হয়ে উঠছিলেন এবং শৌলের পরিবার ক্রমশঃই দুর্বল হয়ে পড়েছিল|
KJV : Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker.
YLT : And the war is long between the house of Saul and the house of David, and David is going on and [is] strong, and the house of Saul are going on and [are] weak.

KJV : And unto David were sons born in Hebron: and his firstborn was Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess;

ERVEN : The second son was Kileab. Kileab's mother was Abigail, who had been the wife of Nabal from Carmel. The third son was Absalom. Absalom's mother was Maacah daughter of King Talmai of Geshur.

KJV : And the sixth, Ithream, by Eglah David’s wife. These were born to David in Hebron.

KJV : And it came to pass, while there was war between the house of Saul and the house of David, that Abner made himself strong for the house of Saul.

BNV : রিস্পা নামে শৌলের এক দাসী ছিল| রিস্পা ছিল অযার কন্যা| ঈশ্বোশত্‌ অব্নেরকে বলল, “আমার পিতার দাসীর সঙ্গে তুমি কেন য়ৌন সম্পর্ক করলে?”
KJV : And Saul had a concubine, whose name [was] Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah: and [Ish-bosheth] said to Abner, Wherefore hast thou gone in unto my father’s concubine?
YLT : and Saul hath a concubine, and her name [is] Rizpah daughter of Aiah, and [Ish-Bosheth] saith unto Abner, `Wherefore hast thou gone in unto the concubine of my father?`

ERVEN : Saul had a slave woman named Rizpah daughter of Aiah. Ish Bosheth said to Abner, "Why did you have sexual relations with my father's servant woman?"

BNV : ঈশ্বোশতের কথা অব্নের ভীষণভাবে রেগে গেলেন| অব্নের বলল, “আমি শৌল এবং তার পরিবারের প্রতি বরাবরই অনুগত| আমি তোমাকে দায়ূদের হাতে তুলে দিই নি| দায়ূদকে তোমার উপর জয়ী হতে দিই নি| যিহূদার অধিকারভুক্ত আমি বিশ্বাসঘাতক নই| কিন্তু এখন তুমি বলছো যে আমি এই অপকর্ম করেছি|
KJV : Then was Abner very wroth for the words of Ish-bosheth, and said, [Am] I a dog’s head, which against Judah do shew kindness this day unto the house of Saul thy father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and have not delivered thee into the hand of David, that thou chargest me to day with a fault concerning this woman?
YLT : And it is displeasing to Abner exceedingly, because of the words of Ish-Bosheth, and he saith, `The head of a dog [am] I -- that in reference to Judah to-day I do kindness with the house of Saul thy father, unto his brethren, and unto his friends, and have not delivered thee into the hand of David -- that thou chargest against me iniquity concerning the woman to-day?
RV : Then was Abner very wroth for the words of Ish-bosheth, and said, Am I a dog-s head that belongeth to Judah? This day do I shew kindness unto the house of Saul thy father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and have not delivered thee into the hand of David, and yet thou chargest me this day with a fault concerning this woman.
RSV : Then Abner was very angry over the words of Ishbosheth, and said, "Am I a dog's head of Judah? This day I keep showing loyalty to the house of Saul your father, to his brothers, and to his friends, and have not given you into the hand of David; and yet you charge me today with a fault concerning a woman.
ASV : Then was Abner very wroth for the words of Ish-bosheth, and said, Am I a dogs head that belongeth to Judah? This day do I show kindness unto the house of Saul thy father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and have not delivered thee into the hand of David; and yet thou chargest me this day with a fault concerning this woman.
ESV : Then Abner was very angry over the words of Ish-bosheth and said, "Am I a dog's head of Judah? To this day I keep showing steadfast love to the house of Saul your father, to his brothers, and to his friends, and have not given you into the hand of David. And yet you charge me today with a fault concerning a woman.
ERVEN : This made Abner very angry. He said, "I have been loyal to Saul and his family. I did not give you to David. I am not a traitor working for Judah. But now you are saying that I did this bad thing.

BNV : আমি প্রতিজ্ঞা করছি ঈশ্বর যা বলেছেন তা নিশ্চিতভাবে ঘটবে| প্রভু বলেছেন শৌলের পরিবার থেকে রাজ্য ছিনিয়ে নিয়ে তিনি দায়ূদকে দেবেন| প্রভু দায়ূদকেই যিহূদা এবং ইস্রায়েলের রাজা করবেন| তিনি দান থেকে বের্-শেবা পর্য়ন্তশাসন করবেন| আমার মনে হয় তা ঘটাতে আমি যদি তত্‌পর না হই ঈশ্বর আমায় শাস্তি দেবেন|”
KJV : So do God to Abner, and more also, except, as the LORD hath sworn to David, even so I do to him;
YLT : thus doth God to Abner, and thus He doth add to him, surely as Jehovah hath sworn to David -- surely so I do to him:

BNV : ঈশ্বোশত্‌ অব্নেরকে আর কিছু বলতে পারলেন না| ঈশ্বোশত্‌ তাকে খুব ভয় পেত|
KJV : And he could not answer Abner a word again, because he feared him.
YLT : And he is not able any more to turn back Abner a word, because of his fearing him.
RV : And he could not answer Abner another word, because he feared him.

BNV : অব্নের দায়ূদকে বার্তাবাহক পাঠাল| অব্নের বলল, “এই দেশ কার শাসন করা উচিত্‌ বলে আপনি মনে করেন? আপনি আমার সঙ্গে চুক্তি করুন| আমি আপনাকে ইস্রায়েলের সমস্ত লোকর শাসক হতে সাহায্য করবো|”
KJV : And Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, Whose [is] the land? saying [also,] Make thy league with me, and, behold, my hand [shall be] with thee, to bring about all Israel unto thee.
YLT : And Abner sendeth messengers unto David for himself, saying, `Whose [is] the land?` saying, `Make thy covenant with me, and lo, my hand [is] with thee, to bring round unto thee all Israel.`
RV : And Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, Whose is the land? saying {cf15i also}, Make thy league with me, and, behold, my hand shall be with thee, to bring about all Israel unto thee.

ERVEN : Abner sent messengers to David and said, "Who do you think should rule this country? Make an agreement with me, and I will help you become the ruler of all the people of Israel."

BNV : দায়ূদ উত্তরে জানালেন, “বেশ! আমি আপনার সঙ্গে চুক্তি করব| কিন্তু আমি আপনাকে একটা কথা জিজ্ঞাসা করতে চাই; যতক্ষণ পর্য়ন্ত আপনি শৌলের কন্যা মীখলকে আমার কাছে আনতে না পারবেন ততক্ষণ পর্য়ন্ত আমি আপনার সঙ্গে দেখা করব না|”
KJV : And he said, Well; I will make a league with thee: but one thing I require of thee, that is, Thou shalt not see my face, except thou first bring Michal Saul’s daughter, when thou comest to see my face.
YLT : And he saith, `Good -- I make with thee a covenant; only, one thing I am asking of thee, that is, Thou dost not see my face, except thou dost first bring in Michal, daughter of Saul in thy coming into see my face.`
RV : And he said, Well; I will make a league with thee: but one thing I require of thee, that is, thou shalt not see my face, except thou first bring Michal Saul-s daughter, when thou comest to see my face.
RSV : And he said, "Good; I will make a covenant with you; but one thing I require of you; that is, you shall not see my face, unless you first bring Michal, Saul's daughter, when you come to see my face."

ERVEN : David answered, "Good! I will make an agreement with you. But I ask you only one thing: I will not meet with you until you bring Saul's daughter Michal to me."

BNV : দায়ূদ শৌলের পুত্র ইশ্বোশতের কাছে বার্তাবাহক পাঠালেন| দায়ূদ বললেন, “আমার স্ত্রী মীখলকে ফেরত দিন| সে আমার কাছে স্ত্রী হিসেবে প্রতিশ্রুত| তাকে পাবার জন্য আমি
KJV : And David sent messengers to Ish-bosheth Saul’s son, saying, Deliver [me] my wife Michal, which I espoused to me for an hundred foreskins of the Philistines.
YLT : And David sendeth messengers unto Ish-Bosheth son of Saul, saying, `Give up my wife Michal, whom I betrothed to myself with a hundred foreskins of the Philistines.`
RV : And David sent messengers to Ish-bosheth Saul-s son, saying, Deliver me my wife Michal, whom I betrothed to me for an hundred foreskins of the Philistines.
RSV : Then David sent messengers to Ishbosheth Saul's son, saying, "Give me my wife Michal, whom I betrothed at the price of a hundred foreskins of the Philistines."
ASV : And David sent messengers to Ish-bosheth, Sauls son, saying, Deliver me my wife Michal, whom I betrothed to me for a hundred foreskins of the Philistines.
ESV : Then David sent messengers to Ish-bosheth, Saul's son, saying, "Give me my wife Michal, for whom I paid the bridal price of a hundred foreskins of the Philistines."
ERVEN : David sent messengers to Saul's son Ish Bosheth. David said, "Give me my wife Michal. She was promised to me. I killed 100 Philistines to get her."

BNV : তখন ঈশ্বোশত্‌ সেই লোকটিকে লয়িশের পুত্র পল্টিযেল নামক এক লোকর কাছ থেকে মীখলকে নিয়ে যেতে বলল|
KJV : And Ish-bosheth sent, and took her from [her] husband, [even] from Phaltiel the son of Laish.
YLT : And Ish-Bosheth sendeth, and taketh her from a man, from Phaltiel son of Laish,

BNV : মীখলের স্বামী পল্টিযেল মীখলের সঙ্গে গেল| বহুরীমে যাবার সময় পল্টিযেল মীখলের পিছু পিছু যাচ্ছিল এবং কাঁদছিল| কিন্তু অব্নের পল্টিযেলকে বলল, “বাড়ী ফিরে যাও|” তখন পল্টিযেল বাড়ী ফিরে গেল|
KJV : And her husband went with her along weeping behind her to Bahurim. Then said Abner unto him, Go, return. And he returned.
YLT : and her husband goeth with her, going on and weeping behind her, unto Bahurim, and Abner saith unto him, `Go, turn back;` and he turneth back.
RV : And her husband went with her, weeping as he went, and followed her to Bahurim. Then said Abner unto him, Go, return: and he returned.

ERVEN : Michal's husband, Paltiel, followed them, crying all the way to Bahurim. Finally Abner said to him, "Go back home." So Paltiel went back home.

BNV : অব্নের ইস্রায়েলের নেতাদের কাছে এই বার্তা দিল| সে বলল, “দীর্ঘদিন ধরে তোমরা দায়ূদকে তোমাদের রাজা হিসেবে চেয়ে আসছ|
KJV : And Abner had communication with the elders of Israel, saying, Ye sought for David in times past [to be] king over you:
YLT : And the word of Abner was with the elders of Israel, saying, `Heretofore ye have been seeking David for king over you,
RV : And Abner had communication with the elders of Israel, saying, In times past ye sought for David to be king over you:
RSV : And Abner conferred with the elders of Israel, saying, "For some time past you have been seeking David as king over you.

ERVEN : Abner sent this message to the leaders of Israel. He said, "You have been wanting to make David your king.

BNV : এখন তা সম্পাদন কর| প্রভু দায়ূদ সম্পর্কে বলার সময় বললেন, ‘আমি আমার ইস্রায়েলীয় লোকদের পলেষ্টীয় এবং অন্যান্য শত্রুদের হাত থেকে রক্ষা করব| আমি দায়ূদের মাধ্যমে এটা করাবো|”‘
KJV : Now then do [it:] for the LORD hath spoken of David, saying, By the hand of my servant David I will save my people Israel out of the hand of the Philistines, and out of the hand of all their enemies.
YLT : and now, do [it], for Jehovah hath spoken of David saying, By the hand of David my servant -- to save My people Israel out of the hand of the Philistines, and out of the hand of all their enemies.`
RV : now then do it: for the LORD hath spoken of David, saying, By the hand of my servant David I will save my people Israel out of the hand of the Philistines, and out of the hand of all their enemies.
RSV : Now then bring it about; for the LORD has promised David, saying, `By the hand of my servant David I will save my people Israel from the hand of the Philistines, and from the hand of all their enemies.'"

ERVEN : Now do it! The Lord was talking about David when he said, 'I will save my people the Israelites from the Philistines and all their other enemies. I will do this through my servant David.'"

BNV : এসব কথা অব্নের দায়ূদকে হিব্রোণে বলেছিল| এসব কথা সে বিন্যামীন পরিবারগোষ্ঠীর লোকদের কাছেও বলেছিল| অব্নের যা বলেছিল সেগুলো বিন্যামীন পরিবারগোষ্ঠী এবং ইস্রায়েলের সব লোকদের কাছে ভাল লেগেছিল|
KJV : And Abner also spake in the ears of Benjamin: and Abner went also to speak in the ears of David in Hebron all that seemed good to Israel, and that seemed good to the whole house of Benjamin.
YLT : And Abner speaketh also in the ears of Benjamin, and Abner goeth also to speak in the ears of David in Hebron all that [is] good in the eyes of Israel, and in the eyes of all the house of Benjamin,
RV : And Abner also spake in the ears of Benjamin: and Abner went also to speak in the ears of David in Hebron all that seemed good to Israel, and to the whole house of Benjamin.

ERVEN : Abner said these things to David in Hebron, and he said these things to the people of the tribe of Benjamin. The things Abner said sounded good to the tribe of Benjamin and to all the people of Israel.
